Namaskara Kannada Bhandhavare!
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to the Mandaara – New England Kannada Koota. I assume the role of the president with great honor and humility. On behalf of the committee, I would like to congratulate the previous committee for a very successful term.
In the present term, we will continue with all traditions of past years and we will add new programs and make necessary changes to make the Koota bigger and better and stronger organization! As promised when we were elected to current term, we have formed a broad based committee to represent talent, experience and leadership in our community. We have taken first step in making our Koota as non-profit so that your contribution to Koota becomes tax deductible contribution.
We are proposing changes to membership so that we can offer flexibility and options in joining Koota. We will also be bringing variety of Kannada program to represent vibrant and rich Kannada culture and art. There are estimated 1200 Kannada families in New England and we have a huge potential to grow our Koota.
We thank all your support for the Koota in the past, we hope to grow the organization with your encouragement, engagement, participation and feedback.
